Creating Independent and Artistic Networks (CRIA) is a transdisciplinary nonprofit association based in Buenos Aires. It is composed of individuals, groups, and cultural spaces, who promote projects aimed at transforming society.
Our work is based on the building of platforms that are organized into networks, in order to enrich research, knowledge and experimentation in various formats such as: performances in public space, colloquiums, exhibitions, workshops, publications, videos, etc.
Objectives:
- Improve access to information, communication, art and culture, especially for those who remain on the margins of hegemonic culture
- Support cultural and social development at the community level
- Promote exchange between cultures
- Advance humanistic values such as solidarity, respect and cooperation
CRIA is financed through the contributions of its members, donations and volunteer activities. In this way it supports the sustainability of cultural practices and counteracts the instability of cognitive labor.
